ABU DHABI: Scout Motors, Volkswagen Group's new EV brand, has released a teaser announcing that it will unveil its new electric SUV and electric pickup truck on October 24. The newly established U.S.-based subsidiary will be responsible for developing both vehicles.

The Scout pickup and SUV will use a new ladder-frame platform different from the PPE and MEB architectures used internationally. This new platform has been designed specifically for the vehicles designed by Scout Motors, marking a shift from the standard electric vehicle frameworks of VW.
Production of the Scout SUV is expected to begin in 2026, with Volkswagen Group planning to gradually scale up factory output. The goal is to reach an annual production rate of around 200,000 units, reflecting the company's commitment to establishing a strong presence and meeting the growing demand in the electric vehicle market.
