Ultra-exclusive Aston Martin Valiant V12 supercar revealed

ABU DHABI: Aston Martin has dropped images of its new supercar created by the in-house Q division of the company. This exclusive model has been named the Valiant and has been commissioned personally for Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin F1 team driver.

Only 38 units of the Aston Martin Valiant will be manufactured, featuring various interesting upgrades selected by Fernando Alonso. The car is tailored to Alonso ‘s personal taste and he is expected to drive the two-seat coupe during its launch next month at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Aston Martin has given a confirmation that all 38 Valiant units are allocated globally. It has not revealed details about the potential availability in New Zealand or Australia. Fernando Alonso showed his interest in the Valiant, derived from Valour GT but enhanced for exhilarating road driving and track-focused performance. It boasts a sculpted exterior that reflects the passion of Alonso for high-performance driving.

Like the Aston Martin Victor, the Valiant features retro-style round headlights. The two-door body has been widened by carbon-fiber body sections enhancing aerodynamic downforce. Its high-speed stability has been improved by Formula One-style vortex generators.

Inside, it has racing seats that complement a manual gearbox lever that emphasizes its sporting character.

The power of Aston Martin Valiant has been boosted to 548kW from its powerful twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 engine, matching the GT Valour’s 753Nm torque. It also comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, making it the most powerful non-hybrid V12 offered by Aston Martin with manual transmission. To optimize performance the driving modes of Valiant have been recalibrated with Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) dampers.

The Aston Martin Valiant features ASV dampers that provide motorsport-level suspension tuning for both road drivability and track customization. Significant weight reductions have been achieved through various components: a 3D-printed rear subframe saving 3 kg, 21-inch forged alloy wheels trimming 14 kg, a magnesium torque tube contributing to an 8.6 kg reduction, and a race-spec 12V battery that further reduces weight, though the exact figures are yet to be confirmed by Aston Martin.
