Toyota unveils bZ3C and bZ3X electric SUVs at Auto China 2024

ABU DHABI: Toyota has recently unveiled two electric SUVs - bZ3C and bZ3X at Auto China 2024. Both these electric vehicles are tailored for the Chinese market. 

Developed in collaboration with the Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center by Toyota, BYD, and FAW, the bZ3C is tailored for younger drivers. The bZ3X, developed by the Guangzhou Automobile Group and GAC Toyota Motor, targets families.

Both EVs look similar to the all-new Prius. The bZ3C has a sleek rear end and it showcases a crossover design, embodying a 'reboot' concept. The bZ3X looks more like an SUV and its silhouette is similar from certain perspectives to the Fortuner.

The Toyota bZ3C and bZ3X will be equipped with advanced driver-assistance features but specifics regarding drivetrains have not been undisclosed. Toyota has also kept the launch date for both these electric SUVs under wraps, but the dynamics suggest an imminent release. Details regarding the new Toyota EV pricing are yet to be revealed.

While the bZ3X and bZ3C were tailored for the Chinese market, it is uncertain whether they will be available in other select markets.

Toyota's pavilion at Auto China 2024 showcased not only the bZ3X and bZ3C but also other reputed vehicles in its lineup including the Land Cruiser Prado hybrid EV and the rally-inspired GR Yaris.

Toyota unveiled the bZ FlexSpace Concept (now bZ3X) and the bZ Sport Cross Concept (now bZ3C) last year at the Auto Shanghai Exhibition. Since then, Toyota has grown significantly refining these models that are aimed initially for the Chinese market.
