The 2020 Lamborghini Huracan: What to expect
ABU DHABI: Leaked images of the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan surfaced online a few days ago to lend enthusiasts a sneak peek in what to expect of the luxury sports car. The new Huracan has now been officially revealed, complete with the EVO moniker.
Lamborghini has been making waves in the sports car segment with the Huracan. The vehicle’s latest version gets performance updates, and at the same time, moves towards a more high-tech direction. The 2020 Huracan is an indicator to what the vehicles from the Italian manufacturer’s assembly line will look like in the days ahead.
The front-end exterior design changes in the new car are minimal. But hawk-eyed spotters would notice that Lamborghini has lent a new design to the lower part of the front bumper. This has forged a more aggressive stance. The exhaust outlets have moved up—perhaps as a styling cue inspired from Performante—to cede extra space to a wider diffuser. The 2020 Huracan gets a more pronounced spoiler. With all these enhancements, the car can be still perfectly recognised as a Huracan.
But the bigger changes to the car can be found inside. Interior photos of the vehicle are yet to be released by the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquartered company. But it has been learnt that Lamborghini has installed a new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It can be controlled by motion recognition technology which lends users an easier option in navigating the software. The Apple CarPlay is standard in all versions of the Huracan. A twin-camera telemetry system is available is as an option. It allows users to record the track runs. The clincher could be the high-capacity hard disk which Lamborghini is offering sans any premium.
The new Huracan is hauled by the 5.2-litre, naturally-aspirated motor. The Italian manufacturer has all along resisted flowing with the turbocharging and downsizing trends that has almost become a norm in the automobile industry. The 10-cylinder V10 engine produces 640 hp. That’s 30 hp more power than the car’s standard version. The torque output is 599 NM, courtesy the modifications like titanium-made exhaust valves. The exhaust system has also been redesigned. An automatic, dual-clutch, seven-speed gear system transfers power to all four wheels.
