Suzuki eVX set for global debut in January 2025

ABU DHABI: Suzuki has confirmed that the production version of its first all-electric SUV, the eVX, will be launched in January 2025. The launch is expected to occur in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo running from 17th to 22nd January.

The production of the Suzuki eVX will take place in India, with around 150,000 units annual manufacturing goal. The majority of these cars have been destined for export markets. It is expected that the vehicle will launch early next year in Japan and Europe.

A skateboard platform will be utilized by the eVX and it will be available with two battery options, offering a range of up to 550 km and choices between dual-motor or single-motor configurations. The main features of this vehicle include a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, and ADAS.

The new eVX is anticipated to come up with large alloy wheels, split LED headlamps, electrically adjustable front seats, and rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar. It may also come with a flat-bottom steering wheel, a rotary dial for drive modes, and a floating centre console.

The Maruti eVX will rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and the Tata Curvv.ev in the Indian market. Additionally, Toyota will come up with the eVX’s rebadged version a few months after its launch in India.
