Skoda unveils Epiq electric concept, setting new benchmark for entry-level SUVs

ABU DHABI: Skoda has unveiled a new Epiq electric concept, which is expected to go into production in 2025. With this Skoda aims to expand its electric vehicles portfolio, aligning with the ever-increasing trend towards eco-friendly mobility solutions. By showcasing the Epiq SUV’s design in advance of its debut, Skoda aims to generate interest and anticipation among consumers.

The Skoda Epiq adopts the modern design language of the brand, combining robust shapes with sleek modern elements, akin to the Kushaq. It measures 4.1 meters in length and comes with an upright front profile. The LED DRL along the bonnet edge comes with integrated illuminated elements, replacing the Skoda badge with illuminated lettering.

The Epiq boasts a striking bumper with 8 vertical slats and "T-shaped" sleek lighting elements incorporated with an illuminated Skoda logo. Its profile features cladding, roof rails, protruding wheel arches, and closed-off alloy wheels.

The Skoda Epiq's cabin is equipped with a flat dashboard, dual-tone scheme, and a two-spoke steering wheel. The centre console is U-shaped and comes with sporty bucket seats and ambient lighting enhancing the look of the interior.

The motor specifications and battery pack of the koda Epiq have not been disclosed yet, but the EV is expected to offer over 400 km range, with V2L capabilities for powering and charging other electrical systems. Other details on performance and capacity are expected to be released soon.

The Skoda Epiq will debut in the global market sometime in 2025. Its starting price is expected to be around 25,000 Euros (approximately AED 99,983.80). Nothing has been revealed about the launch of this model in the UAE.
