Rolls-Royce Cullinan makes its South East Asia debut
ABU DHABI: Far beyond than luxurious is the only way to define Rolls-Royce. To add to its luxury fleet, the company launched its Rolls-Royce Cullinan in the month of May. Another good shocker and addition is the debut of the new car in South East Asia. On August 7, the Cullinan made its regional debut in Singapore.
“Cullinan is highly-anticipated in Singapore, an all-new model that also completes a prolific range of offerings from the marque. Singapore’s importance as a luxury hub in South East Asia is once again confirmed with this premiere, and we are very happy to bring new customers to the brand with Cullinan’s broader appeal,” said Renee Chua, Managing Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Singapore.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan also marks the debut of the luxury brand into the SUV market. However, the company has somehow been able to style the SUV similar to its flagship model- the Phantom. Cullinan takes its name from the world’s largest diamond ever found. It now shines on the British Crown.
Coming to the details, the signature 'pantheon' grill is finished in stainless steel and sits in the front. New headlights with slim LED daytime-running lights have also been added. On the side, you have the brand’s signature suicide doors and below you have 22-inch wheels which help lift the Cullinan off the ground. There are a few more features that match the Phantom but the hatch and flowing tailgates are new.
The interiors of the car are what defines Rolls-Royce-extremely luxurious. The cabin comes finished with handcrafted wood, metal work and leather upholstery. This can however be customized to fulfill the customer’s desires. A lot of high-tech features have also been added on the Cullinan that include Night Vision with Vision Assist, Wildlife and Pedestrian warning, active cruise control, collision warning driver alertness assistant among the many more.
What is under the hood? Well, there is a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 that produces 563PS and 850Nm of torque. The car cannot higher than 250 km/h and is electronically limited. It comes with an all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering as standard. It doesn’t matter that this is an SUV. The Cullinan is built on the same architecture of Luxury platform as all the other RR models. The car is to be priced in the UAE between AED 1900000 – 2200000.
It is Rolls-Royce and its an SUV. What more could one want?
