Renault teases new Arkana crossover
ABU DHABI: Renault has been working on a new C-segment crossover for the Russian market for some time now. The company was prepared to make the car’s official debut at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show on August 29. However, the company has just teased a part of their upcoming crossover and has announced the name for it too. It is going to be called Renault Arkana.
The automaker had previously said that their new crossover is going to be a real breakthrough for the Russian SUV-market as the model will be first sold in the Russian market only. The Arkana will be sold to the other markets eventually.
Not a lot has been revealed by Renault about its upcoming Arkana. But one can expect quite fresh design this time from the French automaker. The crossover is all set to make its market debut in Russia in 2019.
In addition to this, the automaker says that the name Arkana is derived from Latin ARCANUM that means 'Secret', and the word has been used for centuries to mark events and phenomena of special significance. This does sound like a good name for the upcoming car. The French maker says that the name Arkana emphasizes on the individuality of the future crossover. The crossover’s incredible magnetism and design is associated with mystery, pioneer spirit and amazing attractiveness.
