Renault opens new R-Store in Abu Dhabi along with launching new Megane R.S.

ABU DHABI: Renault’s authorized distributor in Abu Dhabi, Al Masaood Automobiles and Al Ain have jointly opened the latest concept store and service centre of Renault (R-store). It is located in the Airport Road’s embassies area and it is the first store in the locality that provides the highest quality standards and efficiency.

Also, inside the showroom, there are plenty of selected Renault vehicles including the popular compact SUV Duster and all-electric ZOE. After concluding the opening ceremony, the manufacturer has pulled the covers off the much awaited Megane R.S. The third-generation model follows the same footsteps of its predecessors and sets a benchmark in its C-segment sports market.

The new Megane R.S. gets a sleek design, which shares the influence from the world of motorsport. The latest iteration comes with a central exhaust and a built-in diffuser on the rear bumper. It rides on the 19-inch wheels and compared to the Megane GT, there is a 5 mm decrement in height.

Under the hood, the coaster comes with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol mill, which is capable of pumping out a maximum power of 280 hp coming at 6,000 rpm, while the peak torque is 390 Nm coming within a rev range of 2,400 to 4,800 rpm.

At the event, Al Masaood Automobiles’ CEO, Irfan Tansel said that the Megane R.S is an all-around sports car, which borrows all the advanced technologies from Renault Megane. This results in ensuring the safety and comfort of drivers.

Further, he added that the new model is the latest addition to the company’s portfolio. With this, he also highlighted that the brand has been growing continuously and has now become one of the greatest success stories of the automotive sector.
