Next-gen Subaru BRZ to see the light of day
ABU DHABI: After Toyota coming forth about the next-gen 86, Subaru puts the word out clearing doubts about the discontinuation of the BRZ. The company has announced that the BRZ will enter in a new generation quoting “it is definitely going to happen.”
Ron Kinno who is Subaru USA spokesman revealed that the company will be working on the next-gen BRZ for sure and they do not support the claims coming from Japan’s Best Car in any way. He also mentioned that there are no further details about the upcoming model at this moment of time.
Earlier the report from Japan popped up claiming that the twins, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ will be axed completely. Upon which spokesmen of both the companies came out to manifest the doubts.
So, now that the claims have been ridiculed by both the companies. What’s next? It would be interesting to see if the companies collaborate to work on their versions of the sports cars or do they part ways to work on their own instead?
Since earlier reports revealed that both, Toyota and Subaru have different plans and development policies for their sports cars moving forward. With Toyota working possibly on a new MR2 and Subaru on its own new creation, which is yet to be disclosed, the mysterious covers on next-gen BRZ and Toyota 86 still remain.
