New BMW M850i tuned to put out 670 PS
ABU DHABI: While the German automaker is yet to make an announcement or reveal the new BMW M8, the tuning companies have started to piece together the machine in a new avatar. It is G-Power, a tuning company dedicated to the refinement of many sporty automobiles, including BMWs and AMGs, that has taken up the task to tune the beast with extravagant performance.
Using the V8 4.4-litre twin-turbo unit under the flesh, the tuner has granted the new M8 with stellar numbers. As compared to the stock version, which produced 530 PS of power and 750 Nm of torque, the tuned M850i is capable of pumping out a max power of 670 PS and a peak torque of 890 Nm. This is an exceptional increase of 140 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque.
These numbers are a result of V2 performance Software package that has been accompanied by the stainless steel downpipes with sports catalytic converters containing 200 cells. Moreover, the dynamic pressure and thermal load have been reduced to make the grand tourer breathe more freely.
As a result, the tuned M850i can now sprint to 100 kmph mark in just 3.1 seconds. This makes it 3.7 seconds quicker than the standard recorded time. Additionally, you can ask G-Power to remove the factory top speed limiter by paying a nominal fee. What this will do is help you to take the capped top speed of 250 kmph to up to 320 kmph.
Hurricane RR forged 21-inch wheels can also be ordered separately that are available in different sizes, 255/30 at the front and 305/25 at the back.
