Mini shares a glimpse of 2024 Cooper EV retro-futuristic cabin

ABU DHABI: The 2024 Mini Cooper EV has been revealed ahead of its official debut in the coming months. Mini already shared a glimpse of its next-gen EV's exterior upgrades in April, and now it has revealed important information about its interior. 

A series of images have been published by Mini, revealing the 2024 Mini Cooper EV's design that combines modern technologies with the elements of Mini models from the past. The central screen is the striking feature of the new car's interior. Minis are known for having a single central dial but in the 2024 Mini Cooper EV, the manufacturer has ditched all physical gauges for a massive, circular display with thin bezels.

The console is positioned on the oval-shaped panel to make it easier for the user to operate it. 

When it comes to the exterior, the hatchback benefits from shorter overhangs, a trapezoidal grille, stacked triangle-shaped tail lights, and LEDs around the headlights. 

Mini has confirmed that the 2024 Mini Cooper E will have an electric motor producing 181 hp and a 40.7 kWh battery. The sportier Cooper SE version will have a more powerful electric motor with 215 hp and a 54.2 kWh battery. The estimated driving range will be between 186 miles and 249 miles, respectively.

The 2024 Mini Cooper EV is set to go on sale in May 2024. As the release date approaches, we expect to find out more details about the car's technology, performance, and features.
