Mercedes discontinues the production of Maybach Vision Ultimate Luxury sedan

ABU DHABI: As reported by the German business newspaper Handelsblatt, Mercedes has cancelled the production of the Mercedes Maybach Vision Ultimate Luxury causing disappointment to the enthusiasts awaiting its arrival. This unique project was cancelled due to the high production costs and complexities related to bringing the concept to life. 

The Vision Ultimate Luxury was envisioned as a unique blend of SUV versatility and luxury sedan comfort. However, during its development, Mercedes-Benz had to encounter various challenges leading to its discontinuation. Despite this huge setback, Mercedes-Maybach is enjoying success in various markets, especially in India and the UAE where the luxury vehicles of the brand are very popular. 

The Vision Ultimate Luxury was intended as a China-specific model. It is equipped with an electric drivetrain with four motors generating an impressive 750hp. On a single charge, it was engineered to achieve around 500 km range due to its 80kWh battery pack. Mercedes has decided to halt the development of this model despite these outstanding specifications.

Despite the discontinuation of the Vision Ultimate Luxury, Mercedes-Maybach continues to offer high-end vehicles on a global scale. The ongoing commitment of Mercedes-Maybach to elegance and innovation is evident in their current lineup setting a new benchmark for luxury driving. 

In regions such as the UAE, their Maybach versions of the GLS and S-Class have gained immense popularity among buyers. From advanced amenities to sumptuous interior appointments, these models cater to the preferences of luxury seekers who demand the best in their vehicles.
