Meet Huansu C60 Hyosow, the Chinese twin of Lamborghini Urus
ABU DHABI: With the introduction of Huansu C60 Hyosow, you can own a Lamborghini Urus twin at one-tenth of the actual price! This is not the first time a Chinese automaker has come up with a replica of a prominent model. We have already seen Range Rover’s Evoque and Tesla’s Model X Chinese twin and this time, it's Urus’ turn.
The said SUV carries Huansu badge, one of the several brands under the Beijing Auto Industries Corporation (BAIC). As a matter of fact, Huansu cars are manufactured by Beiqi Yinxiang Automobile, a joint venture between the BAIC and the Yinxiang Motorcycle Group.
In Huansu, there is very little to differentiate from the Lamborghini in terms of design. In the SUV, the silhouette of the grille is quite identical but it gets its own LED fog-light layout. The lines are tweaked mildly towards the side of the car, making sure it doesn't look Urus' exact copy. The headlights are decorated with LED units and the massive honeycomb grille is replaced by slats in Huansu. Very less rework has been done on the tail-light and rear design.
On the mechanical front, the Huansu engine unit is different from that powering the Lamborghini Urus. The Chinese model uses a 197 PS generating 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. Whereas, the Urus uses a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 developing 659 PS. The expected price of Huansu C60 Hyosow is around AED 73,463, i.e. 23 times cheaper than the Urus.
Overall, the Huansu is a blatant knockoff of the real one. The SUV will be officially revealed on June 6 at the Chongqing auto show. Of course, you should be a resident of China to own and drive it.
