ABU DHABI: Bugatti, a 115-year-old French marque known worldwide for its powerful W16 engines, recently revealed the Tourbillon at its Molsheim atelier.

    Under Rimac’s guidance, who also oversees the Concept_One electric and Rimac Nevera supercars, Bugatti has produced the Tourbillon with a newly commissioned naturally aspirated V-16 8.3-litre engine, departing from the 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W-16 engines that were the highlight of the Veyron and Chiron.

    Bugatti plans to produce 250 units of the Tourbillon, with deliveries expected to start in 2026. The pricing will be around $3.8 million (AED 13,916,000). Additionally, Bugatti will finalize production of its remaining W-16 models, including the Mistral roadster and Bolide track car.

    The new Tourbillon is equipped with 250kW electric motors: one on the rear axle and two on the front axle, delivering a total system output of 1324 kW, exceeding the Chiron model’s 1177kW output.

    Bugatt claims that the Tourbillon doesn’t share any components with the Chiron. It features an updated design with larger flanking intakes, a widened horseshoe grille, and McLaren-style butterfly doors framed by a hoop-like element.

    Despite the addition of a battery pack and a longer engine, the interior space is similar to the Chiron. The cabin boasts a Swiss watchmakers' intricate gauge cluster with over 600 parts, including gemstones and titanium, along with crystal glass and an aluminum center console with a deployable touchscreen.

    Customer deliveries for the Bugatti Tourbillon are expected to begin in 2026. It has not been revealed whether the new Tourbillon will be manufactured in a right-hand drive configuration.
