McLaren introduces Senna livery for 2024 Monaco GP

ABU DHABI: For the Monaco Grand Prix, McLaren has introduced a distinctive livery to honour the legendary Ayrton Senna. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris will navigate the streets of iconic Monte Carlo adorned in vibrant green, blue, and yellow hues, symbolising Senna’s Brazilian heritage. McLaren's tribute livery commemorates the enduring impact of Ayrton Senna on both Formula 1 and McLaren, three decades after his passing.

Senna is the most successful driver for McLaren, known for clinching three Drivers' Championships and securing 35 of his 41 wins from 1988 to 1993. He was named the 'King of Monaco' after his six impeccable victories at the Circuit de Monaco.

Throughout the weekend, both Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris will don Ayrton Senna-inspired overalls. The fans can also be a part of the celebration by purchasing merchandise from the Senna x Monaco line, available at the McLaren Store.

McLaren Automotive also unveiled the McLaren Senna Sempre, honouring the legacy of Ayrton Senna. McLaren Special Operations has crafted this vehicle and it comprises Formula 1 livery elements and boasts hand-painted designs inspired by the helmet of Senna, including his iconic blue, yellow, and green colours. Ayrton Senna’s dot matrix portraits and additional references were also a part of the tribute.
