Lamborghini teases Huracan successor before official unveiling

ABU DHABI: Lamborghini is all set to unveil the Huracan successor at Monterey Car Week on August 16, 2024, which will most likely be named Temerario. Ahead of the launch, a teaser video has been dropped showcasing the high-revving engine of the new supercar. 

The new Lamborghini supercar will ditch the naturally aspirated V-10 found in its Huracán and Gallardo predecessors. It offers an enthralling experience with a twin-turbo V-8 that delivers outstanding sound and performance.

For the new Lamborghini engine, the teaser video hints at a higher redline. Although Lamborghini earlier said it would have a 10,000-rpm limit, in the clip the digital tachometer shows the needle going beyond this. This suggests that the engine in its uncorked form might rev even higher. Regardless, it has an impressive sound, even without the earlier V-10.

With a twin-turbo V8, the new super sports car will mark the completion of its hybrid lineup, producing 800 PS and 730 Nm of torque. The hybrid system boosts total output to 900 PS and features three electric motors. The power is handled by an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The new Lamborghini has a dramatic design and sharp lines, with rear fender air intakes that cool the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. The rear end comes with an aggressive bumper and high-mounted exhausts that look similar to the Revuelto and a prominent diffuser. The hexagonal LED taillights can be fully seen now, enhancing the bold look of the car.
