Lamborghini Huracan is the fastest camera car in the world

ABU DHABI: If you wonder how all the supercar sequences in movies are captured on a camera, here is the answer. Movie-makers use camera cars that are as fast as the one in the scene. To be precise, the Lamborghini Huracan is used as the camera car by installing the Red Epic 8K (resolution) camera on the hood to allow the crew members to shoot a scene at extremely high speeds.

A special team of the Incline Dynamic Outlet has created this one-of-a-kind camera car. The team uses a Huracan LP610-4 as the base car and transformed it to fit the purpose. Firstly, the hood of the car was removed, along with a trunk, which is lined with the sheet metal so that they can place a custom-made arm that would work as a holder of the RED Epic 8k camera. Then the gimbal is built by Gyro Stabilized System. Thereafter, the wires are connected to the camera which enables the operation by the person sitting next to the driver.

Apart from these, no changes were made in this premium sports coupe. The vehicle is equipped with a 5.2-litre V10 motor that can churn out up to 610 PS of power, which is good enough to allow a maximum speed of 322 kmph. However, the figures will not be applicable after this modification due to the weight and loss of aerodynamics. The 2-door-coupe is more skillful and more nimble than the other camera arm vehicles, like high-performance SUVs including the Porsche Cayenne.

According to the special team from Incline Dynamic Outlet, the Lamborghini Huracan is the world’s fastest camera car and the perfect fit for the task. However, a spare Chiron had been used as a one-time camera car by Bugatti for a 0-400 kmph run. However, the Huracan will continue to serve the purpose over any other unit in the future.
