Lamborghini Autentica and Invencible are the brand’s last two V12s
ABU DHABI: Lamborghini Autentica and Invencible, the brand’s last set of V12s, have been finally revealed. Both the supercars are based on the iconic Aventador and will mark the end of V12s produced by the Italian brand. Lamborghini will now be focusing on producing hybrid supercars, starting with the Aventador, which is expected to be released in the coming months.
Lamborghini's Centro Stile created the concept-like designs for two owners in an effort to show "maximum ingenuity using the V12 platform." Intimidating front ends modelled after the Reventon and Veneno, a noticeable front splitter and vertical struts from the track-only Essenza SCV12 hypercar, and a rear wing (on the Invencible) similar to the light Sesto Elemento are just a few of the previous special Lambo models they are inspired by.
The Inconel tips on the centrally located triple exhausts, a special high-performance steel alloy, developed in the aerospace industry, are a distinguishing characteristic of both cars, which are both made of carbon fibre.
The interiors of both cars are similarly bare to "focus attention on pure driving enjoyment." According to Lamborghini's head of design Mitja Borkert, "We have designed two one-of-a-kind cars with their own unique character, inspired by track days and the high-octane circuit environment." "These one-of-a-kind designs draw on our distinctive design DNA while once again lifting our design heritage to a new level," the company said.
The identical 6.5-litre V12 engine in both the cars produces a maximum of 780 PS and 720 Nm of peak torque. AWD and a Dynamic Steering system that controls all four wheels are combined with a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission to transmit power to the wheels.
Both of them would undoubtedly be a blast to drive, despite the fact that we wouldn't ever get the chance to. Aerodynamic efficiency has been given top priority, and the cars' designs reflect this.
