Honda Electric Vision Design offers a sneak peek into next-generation NSX supercar
ABU DHABI: After taking the wraps off the electric 2024 ZDX Type S and Acura ZDX at the Monterey Car Week, Honda offered a glimpse of a new EV. This new electric project is a design study providing details about the brand's future offerings. Honda has released three pictures showcasing a low-set, sleek coupe sharing similarities with the mid-engined NSX.

The design study shares similarities with the mid-engined NSX.The Performance Electric Vision features a sleek and broad front, accentuated by a horizontal LED light bar that goes all the way up to the fascia. It is intersected by vertical LED bars that may serve as headlights. In conjugation with the other illuminated elements, the Acura logo also transitions colours and lights up.
Acura creative director, Dave Marek, said the design team is "dreaming up the future of Acura Precision Crafted Performance in the EV era." He added, "This latest expression of an all-electric high-performance model inspires everyone in our studio to push the boundaries, and we wanted to share the fun with our Acura fans."
Since Honda did not unveil the model fully, it is estimated that the concept will appear during the carmaker's 75th-anniversary celebrations in late September.
Although Honda hasn't labeled it a next-gen NSX, there is still a strong possibility. Acura stopped producing the second-generation NSX in 2022 after seeing sales fall.
By carrying forward the legacy of NSX, the automaker reaffirms its dedication to high-performance vehicles within the automotive sector.
