GWM Ora Lightning Cat EV launched in Thailand

ABU DHABI: Ora, the sub-brand of Great Wall Motors' has revolutionized the EV segment in Thailand with the debut of the all-new Ora 07, which is known as the Lightning Cat in China. This compact sedan is available in two variants, namely the Performance and Long Range, at the starting price of 1,299,000 baht (135,580.05 AED). With advanced features and competitive pricing, it is all set to make an impact in the Thai EV market. 

The Ora Lightning Cat/07 has a cute design language and a smooth body shape. It has small round headlights, retractable door handles, and a sleek roofline. Its wheelbase is 2870 mm, and its dimensions are 4871/1862/1500 mm. The standard exterior kit includes daytime running lights, LED headlights, LED tail lights, a panoramic glass roof, and 18-inch alloys. 

The Ora 07 Performance comes with a dual-motor all-wheel drive, offering around 408 PS and 680 Nm of torque. This electric sedan has 550 km of driving range and offers a thrilling driving experience.

The Ora 07's interior is equipped with top-notch features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.25-inch instrument display. It also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The electric sedan comes with an ambient lighting system, a 10.25-inch instrument display, and an 11-speaker sound system. The Performance variant is equipped with additional features such as a driver's memory seat, a head-up display, and massage/ventilated front seats.

In terms of safety, the Ora 07 has advanced features like traffic jam assist (TJA), intelligent cruise control (ICC), lane departure warning (LDW), lane keep assist (LKA), and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA).
