Guess how many Aventadors and Huracans produced, so far?
ABU DHABI: Lamborghini introduced the mighty Aventador in 2011 as a replacement to the renowned Murcielago. After receiving an overwhelming response, Lamborghini brought the Huracan in the picture in 2014 as a successor to the Gallardo. And, as expected, this younger sibling of the Aventador was successful in attracting a lot of buyers from across the globe. These two raging bulls gained so much love and popularity throughout the world, that today, Lamborghini has reached a new production milestone.
The latest report reveals that Lamborghini has produced 8,000 units of the Aventador and 11,000 units of Huracan to date. The 8,000th Aventador that rolled out from the Italian’s manufacturing facility wears a magnificent Grigio Telesto paint scheme. It is the S Roadster version of the Aventador and is all set to be delivered to a customer in Japan. The Aventador S Roadster carries a humongous 6,498cc V12 engine that burns out over 700 horsepower and generates 690 Nm of ground-shredding torque. It reaches 0-100 kmph in a mere 3.0 seconds and does 0-200 kmph in just 9.0 seconds. It has a top speed of 350 kmph.
On the other hand, the Huracan, which hit the 10,000 mark just four months ago, saw its 11,000th unit coming out in a Blue Nethuns color and will be sent to the Italian market. Unlike the Aventador, this beauty extracts its power from a 5,204cc V10 engine with around 600 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque available on tap. It’s capable of achieving the 0 to tonne mark in 3.2 seconds and finishes the 0-200 kmph in 9.9. When played full on, it can do speeds of over 325 kmph.
Lamborghini's production numbers might not appear to be very big but unlike other car manufacturers, Lamborghini doesn’t have multiple manufacturing facilities across the globe. The Italian brand produces all of its products under one roof in Sant'Agata Bolognese. So, producing these many cars in such a small time period is very commendable. And mind you, these are supercars. So, there’s no margin for error and they take a longer duration to get ready.
If we talk about the first half of this year, Lamborghini has already delivered 2,327 supercars to their owners spread across the world. Now, soon Lamborghini will commence the deliveries of its jaw-dropping Urus, which will definitely raise the total sales during the second half of the year.
