Fiat 500X’s facelift teased before the official debut
ABU DHABI: The Fiat 500X came into the picture in 2014 and currently updates are underway. But recently, a teaser image for the awaited vehicle was spotted on the internet. The facelift model doesn’t look much different than before though. However, changes have been made to the headlamp, auxiliary lamp and the fog lamp assemblies. Also, the grille of the new 500X is expected to undergo minor size changes as well. It could be larger and broader than before.
The images also show that the 500X’s rear end has been updated with new tail lights and have gained color-coded equipment like on the recent Fiat 500. The new Fiat 500X is also expected to receive some minor changes to the rear bumper.
The interior of the new 500X is also to get latest updates. The car will be available in a range of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol will include the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder FireFly petrol turbo with 120 hp. Whereas, the diesel range will include the 95 hp, 1.3-litre MultiJet II, the 120 hp, 1.6-litre MultiJet II and the 140 hp, 2.0-litre MultiJet II. The Italian automaker has not yet set a date for the official launch. But the Northern Hemisphere in the autumn is in the books. The company has, however, made it very clear that the 500X facelift will be on its own at the Paris Motor Show in October as Fiat Chrysler is skipping the event this time. Admirers are advised to be in touch for more updates.
