Dodge 2019 RAM 1500 revealed in GCC

ABU DHABI: After a lot of rumors and speculations, the brand new Dodge RAM 1500 has been revealed in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council). The vehicle is pretty much powerful and has excellent pulling capability. Apart from these, it comes with a luxurious interior which beats many of its rivals just by having a lot more of the leather trims.

The 2018 update resulted in an improved cabin space, however, the recent update does not highlight any major change. The vehicle is equipped with a 5.7-litre V8 4WD engine which can make up to 395 hp along with a peak torque of 552 Nm. It takes just 7 to 7.5 second to reach a speed of 100 kmph from zero.

The 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 shares the same petrol engine with same power production. Along with that, the engine features variable-valve timing which makes the car more efficient and offers a stable performance. The power is sent down to the wheels through an 8-speed transmission.

Parking a large truck like the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 is not an easy task to do. Hence, keeping this in mind, the manufacturer has added few features for the driver’s convenience while parking. These include a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross path detection and blind spot mirrors.

Apart from these, the pickup truck gets a spacious cabin. A 12-inch touchscreen display (with split-screen facility) enabled the driver to use two application simultaneously. Moreover, the system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless phone charger is also available which is placed on the centre armrest. In addition to these, new USB ports are given which can now charge the phone four times faster than before.

The current model comes with a starting price tag of AED 120,000 and the top-end variant is priced at AED 179,000. However, the manufacturer is yet to reveal the price tag of the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. In this country, the car will get a warranty of 5 years or 100,000 km along with the service package.
