BMW to produce Skytop roadster in limited numbers
ABU DHABI: BMW revealed the Skytop at the Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza earlier this year. This two-seater is inspired by the M8 Competition convertible and is set for production, with 50 units planned. All these units are already reserved. The Skytop roadster boasts a powerful V8 engine and impresses with its unique styling.

The BMW Skytop is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering up to 643 horsepower.Although the production model’s images have not been released yet, the Skytop roadster will retain the powertrain and design of the concept. It is based on the 8 Series and retains the iconic kidney grille of BMW with illuminated elements, large bonnet vents, and ultra-thin LED headlights. The boot features a central divider that curves into a small ducktail spoiler and mirrors the bonnet.
The production model will be equipped with the 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine of BMW, delivering up to 643 hp similar to the high-end M cars.
Inside, the Skytop roadster boasts a premium cabin that is beautifully wrapped in rich brown leather, exuding comfort and elegance. It is equipped with BMW’s latest generation of iDrive infotainment system, ensuring an intuitive and modern user experience.
The driver display is fully digital and offers customizable and clear information at a glance. For the automatic gearbox, a familiar shifter adds a touch of familiarity. Additionally, the multifunction conventional steering wheel allows for access to various controls.
With bespoke coachwork, you can anticipate the prices to begin around £400,000 (AED 1,906,728), and deliveries will begin in early 2026.
