BMW officially teases X7 seven-seater
ABU DHABI: More that one year has been passed since BMW showcased the X7 Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the manufacturer has still not revealed any clear picture of the production version. It will be the company’s most luxurious model to date. And with this, we now have the first teaser of the X7 in production.
The BMW X7 comes with an impressive dual kidney grille which is same as the original concept model. Seven vertical slats are given on each of the sides, forming the major highlight of its immense size. The LED headlights are as large as the immense size and the faux corner air intakes take place on the front bumper.
However, the manufacturer has still not revealed the other details. However, last August, some images related to X7 were floating on the internet. As per these, we can ascertain that at the rear corners, a sleek pair of tail lights are given and at the rear bumper, dual exhaust pipes exit are installed.
Thanks to the patent images, we can now get an idea about the interior too. The designing of the dashboard is exactly similar to the X3 and X5. The infotainment display of the X7 becomes larger along with a multi-info display and a digital instrument panel. Moreover, the vehicle gets a lot of smart technologies.
Though the engine specifications are not revealed just yet, it is expected that the vehicle will come with a lot of powertrain trims. The prime engine choices for the vehicle will be a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline 6-cylinder and a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 units. However, the manufacturer will add a plug-in hybrid variant too.
The X7 will be built in the BMW's Spartanburg factory which is situated in South Carolina as all the previous series, the X3, X4, X5, and X6, were built here. As the production phase of the BMW X7 is in the primary stage, we can expect it to arrive soon.
