Aston Martin Vanquish from James Bond’s film to be auctioned

ABU DHABI: The cars featured in James Bond films are highly coveted, and now have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bid on an Aston Martin Vanquish that featured in "Die Another Day" alongside Bond.

This iconic vehicle is being auctioned by H&H Classics on October 9, offering you an opportunity to own a piece of the legacy of Bond without an exorbitant price tag.

Those who are fans of Bond will recall that the Vanquish played an important role in "Die Another Day," a movie famed for its early-2000s techno vibe and Brosnan-era flair. Featuring a glitchy but memorable Madonna theme song, it’s considered to be an eccentric entry in the series.

James McWilliam, H&H Classics Sales Manager highlighted the auction in October as a chance to own a piece of automotive and cinematic history with the Aston Martin Vanquish. It is a predecessor to the DBS and was featured at Pinewood Studios in a photoshoot with Pierce Brosnan. It was also one of seven vehicles that was used for press purposes. Selected for its aluminium centre console, Charcoal leather, and Tungsten Silver paint, it matches the hero cars featured in the Bond films.

A V-12 engine powers the Aston Martin Vanquish, allowing it to reach up to 321 kilometres per hour at top speed. With just 37,800 miles on the odometer, it has proven to be a prized part of the collection of its current owner for over 20 years.

Beyond its connection to Pierce Brosnan and James Bond, the Vanquish stands out as an exceptional example of the last hand-built grand tourer by the marque. However, unlike its film counterpart,it lacks hidden gadgets like missiles and shotguns. The Vanquish also made appearances on various platforms, including the James Bond video game Nightfire.
