Aston Martin unveils special edition DBS Superleggera
ABU DHABI: Aston Martin, the British auto marque, shows some serious respect towards its newly partnered brand, Tag Heuer, by introducing a limited edition DBS Superleggera TAG edition. The model accentuates togetherness between the two parties and the partnership bond that’s only going to build from here.
The model continues to draw power from the twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 engine that pumps out a max power of 725 PS at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 900 Nm from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm, mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission system that transfers power to the rear wheels of the DBS Superleggera.
The engine and transmission setup allows the DBS Superleggera to sprint to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds before attaining a top speed of 340 Kmph.
The DBS Superleggera Tag Heuer edition is available in an exclusive shade, Monaco Black, that further shines with the presence of carbon fibre highlights. The front fenders embrace Tag logos.
Inside, the model receives a dark theme, with almost everything finished in black. The use of black leather on the seats make the theme even denser. The Alcantara upholstery is also black. However, the stitching on the seats, piping and Tag Heuer embroidered logos get bright red treatment, which enhances the inside appeal.
The production limit of the special model is set to just 50 units. Along with the car, the buyers will be entitled to receive a matching Carrera Heuer 01 Aston Martin Special Edition watch.
The pricing of the limited edition model hasn’t been announced yet. The standard DBS Superleggera is available for around USD 2,90,184.
If you wish to purchase the watch alone, then you can get it for USD 6,550 (around AED 24,060).
