Aston Martin honors James Bond Anniversary; unveils the DB12 Goldfinger

ABU DHABI: Sixty years ago "Goldfinger" the classic James Bond film premiered, initiating a partnership between Aston Martin and the iconic spy series. Aston Martin's Q personalization division decided to celebrate this milestone by creating the DB12 Goldfinger Edition which is inspired by the DB5 that was seen in the 1964 movie. This special edition will be limited to just 60 units.

The DB12 Goldfinger Edition is finished in Silver Birch which is the same hue as the "Goldfinger" legendary DB5. The DB12 Goldfinger Edition perfectly captures the essence of a luxury collector's garage and Bond films. Its multi-spoke 21-inch wheels are embellished with a striking silver finish, while a chrome ‘Q’ wing badge and bespoke gold side strakes add an extra touch of elegance.

Inside, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition looks sophisticated with leather Sports Plus seats that feature a fluted design similar to the impeccable style of Bond, highlighted by the check pattern of Prince of Wales. Aston Martin embraced the nostalgia of Goldfinger by weaving into the carbon fiber inlays gold metal fibers and adding to the driving mode dial 18k gold accents. For fans of Bond, the sun visor has been beautifully embroidered with the 'eight of hearts,' which gives a nod to the film’s iconic poker scene.

Customers who will buy the DB12 Goldfinger Edition will get a wide selection of gifts, including a luxury key box, a custom car cover, a Silver Birch Speedform model, a 35mm film section from "Goldfinger" iconic Furka Pass scene, and a limited-edition magazine. These items will be offered in a Globe-Trotter attaché case exclusively designed to match the car, featuring a Prince of Wales check-patterned interior and a Silver Birch exterior.

Owners will also get a magnum of 2007 Champagne Bollinger along with four Bollinger 007 glasses encased beautifully in a Globe-Trotter Air Cabin Case. The Goldfinger Edition will retain the standard 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 of the DB12, generating around 500kW and 800Nm, mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission that will drive the rear wheels.

The 2025 Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition’s first deliveries are anticipated between April and June 2025.
