Al-Futtaim Honda opens new 3S facility in Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI: The official and exclusive distributor of Honda cars, power products, marine engines, and motorcycles in the Middle East, Al-Futtaim has taken a major step forward towards reaching more prospective customers. The distributor has opened a new 3S facility in Abu Dhabi which includes sales, service, and spare parts.
At the opening ceremony of this new Honda 3S facility, the Regional Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Honda, Mr Eric Benavente said that Abu Dhabi is a very important zone from the company’s perspective to reflects on the commitment towards a large number of customers. Besides being located at a very convenient location, it will also help the company serve customers with the entire range of Honda product, all under one roof.
The new 3S facility of Al-Futtaim Honda is located in Umm Al Nar. It will help the existing customers, as well as the new buyers, have an efficient and convenient journey throughout the process of owning or servicing a Honda car, including the sale of pre-owned vehicles.
The new Al-Futtaim 3S facility is built on a total area of 8,000 square metres and has a total of 21 workshop bays. The service point is claimed to be capable of handling more than 100 cars a day, making sure that the customers would not have a very long waiting period. It will also be a one-stop shop for all kind of Honda cars, SUVs, motorcycles, power products, and marine engines.
The Honda lineup in UAE currently has nine cars and 11 two-wheelers including dirt bikes, cruisers, tourers, and sports bikes. Power products include green and agricultural products, including normal as well as ride-on lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and brush cutters. Apart from these, there is a wide range of generators and water pumps.
Presently, the Honda City and Civic are the most popular sedans in the company’s lineup, with the latter being a C-segment sedan. In fact, the Civic also gets a powerful RS trim which has a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine making a maximum power of 180 hp and a peak torque of 220 Nm. The power is sent down to the wheels via a CVT gearbox.
