A sneak-peek of Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster releases

ABU DHABI: Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster has been spotted on Zagato’s official website. Just a picture of this droptop successor has been released without any specifications of the car. The car is simply listed as a “2018 Lamborghini L595 Zagato” with an accompanying preview image.

The Lamborghini L595 Zagato was earlier launched back in 2014. This older model was on the hardcore Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. It is being said by experts that the Zagato Roadster looks similar in appearance to the original model. It features the same unique fascias and bespoke lighting.

The older model of Zagato used to feature a double-bubble roof while the Roadster variant can be seen sporting a folding one along with a unique engine cover. Experts are stating that the new Zagato is likely to possess a strong 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces 570 horsepower and 538 Nm of torque, just like the older variant of Zagato. Also, a 0-62 mph allegedly took 3.4 seconds in the 2014 model with a top speed at 202 mph. Thereby, a similar and in fact, a better engine is being expected from the Roadster variant.

Another similarity which is doing its rounds between the two models is its availability. The 2004 Lamborghini Zagato was initially produced as a one-off but later on, it went into a limited series production. Thus, experts are suggesting that the Roadster variant is likely to be produced in extremely limited numbers as well.

The Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster is expected to be officially launched in the upcoming Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. This is the same venue, where the original Zagato model was unveiled four years ago. An online official revelation of some specifications of the car is also being expected around May 25th.
