2024 Mazda CX-90 sees the light of day in the US

ABU DHABI: Mazda US recently introduced the all-new 2024 CX-90, which is a part of the brand's Large Product lineup. The three-row SUV is constructed on a brand-new, substantial chassis with a front-engine, rear-wheel-biased longitudinal layout that enhances Mazda's renowned driving performance. 

Kinematic Posture Control, a software function that suppresses body lift on tight corners to improve the grip and enables all occupants to retain a natural posture, first appeared on the MX-5 Miata and is now available on the CX-90. 

While precisely engineering the seats and suspension to offer superior balance, control, and confidence in a variety of driving circumstances, emphasis was placed on improving stiffness across the whole vehicle body. Drivers are now able to take advantage of the full capability of the available high-output powertrains thanks to these deliberate modifications and the standard i-Activ all-wheel drive.

With 340 hp of maximum power and 500 Nm of torque when using the suggested premium fuel, the CX-90's all-new e-Skyactiv G 3.3L Inline 6 Turbo engine boasts the most horsepower and torque of any mass-produced gasoline engine manufactured by Mazda. Additionally, this engine has M-Hybrid Boost, a mild hybrid system, to increase efficiency without sacrificing the engine's exceptional performance. Between the engine and transmission, the electric motor provides smooth acceleration from a stop and may directly drive the CX-90 at low speeds. The CX-90 has a premium feel, a smooth driving experience, an engaging sound, and efficiency thanks to this engaging powertrain.

Another option is the 2.5-litre four-cylinder unit which is coupled with a 17.8 kWh high-capacity battery to improve overall efficiency and performance. 

The interior appearance of the CX-90 is complemented by physical buttons and larger displays. Through the 12.3" centre display, new Mazda technologies, such as the optional See-Through View monitor, are intended to help in a variety of parking conditions.

The CX-90's numerous new, cutting-edge features and conveniences go hand in hand with its elegant interior to enrich the driving experience while also delivering first-rate comfort and convenience for all occupants. This includes, among many other innovations, available third-row USB-C charging connections, air conditioning vents, and improved interior illumination.

Some of the key safety features of the 2024 CX-90 include Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Mazda Radar Cruise Control. 

Though the 2024 Mazda CX-90 is revealed for the US market as of now, it is expected to be introduced in the UAE market as well.
